7th RepStorm Brainstorming Meeting Held

RepMan Reputation Research Center, which sets the agenda for reputation management in Turkey, is a pioneer in developments and contributes to global studies, held its 7th RepStorm Brainstorming Meeting on December 21, 2017 at Bahçeşehir University Galata Campus.

In the first part of the meeting, which was attended by 27 people consisting of corporate communication managers, academics, NGO and media representatives, the results of the RESPECT 2017 Reputation Trends Research were shared by Nuran Aksu, founder of ZENNA Research and Consulting company and RepMan Advisory Board Member.

In the second part, participants, divided into groups, discussed the areas where reputation trends will be concentrated in the coming period in a workshop and presented their findings. At the end of the workshop, participants listed their own reputation trend findings as follows:

1) 360-degree “reputation investments” that are human-centered and encompass all stakeholders can be used to invest in employees. This demonstrates the value given to people and also shows the tangible financial return of reputation efforts.
2) Employee participation and a sense of belonging can be increased by creating “new company values” that encompass all XYZ generations working in the company.
3) The perception of reputation as a natural process that starts with the individual and is internalized by everyone, reflecting on all aspects of life, and its ownership by all employees together with the institution, can be defined as another potential trend. 4) With the development of digitalization, reputation management can be supported with more sincere and meticulous corporate communication.
5) It is very important and a fundamental condition for ensuring continuity that the CEO and Senior Management are open to change and development in reputation management, aware of the need, and supportive of their relevant/responsible teams.
6) Employees/People Must Be Valued.
o Establishing corporate culture and rules in management and spreading them to the entire organization will bring justice and transparency.
o Understanding/recognizing and ensuring the satisfaction of employees at every level will also bring customer satisfaction. Employee satisfaction is directly related to their love for the organization, their belief in it, and their trust in it. This relationship also plays a role in the employee becoming a good brand ambassador.
o In addition to the satisfaction of current employees, parting ways with employees who leave the organization on good terms and “amicably” will positively affect the company’s reputation and its image in the eyes of potential employees. 7) Disseminating the concept and rules of Reputation Management and Ethics to suppliers, customers, and stakeholders, as well as reaching our employees and their environments, and involving our business partners in reputation management by supporting them with our corporate rules, will expand our sphere of influence.
