RepMan Reputation Research Center’s second event of the year, the Climate Crisis and Communication Strategies panel, was held online on May 16, 2022. In light of the REPMAN FORUM 2022 discussions, which communication areas should companies prioritize? What are the obstacles to communication strategies? Is internal communication taking a step forward during this period? What do we want to see in the role models of CEOs? What “new” things are/should be in the areas of cooperation with civil society organizations that did not exist before? How should stakeholder participation be managed on the climate crisis agenda? The answers to these questions defined the structure of the panel.
The discussions, chaired by Salim Kadıbeşegil, were moderated by Prof. Dr. Haluk Gürgen, Faculty Member at Bahçeşehir University and Member of the RepMan Advisory Board. The panel began with Nuran Aksu, President of ZENNA Brand Research Company and Member of the RepMan Advisory Board, sharing the main findings of this year’s RESPECT 2022 survey. Next, Nuri Özbağdatlı from the United Nations Development Programme’s Climate Change and Environmental Management assessed current risks and scenarios for the near future. Rana Birder, Head of Corporate Communications at Kale Group, and Arda Öztaşkın, Director of Corporate Communications at YapıKredi, shared concrete examples of ongoing work with the audience.
