The 6th forum organized by the RepMan Reputation Research Center took place on March 30, 2017, in the Maslak Orjin Plaza halls in Istanbul. While 109 people attended the forum, which had a capacity of 90 participants, 983 people watched it live online from various parts of Turkey.

This year’s forum theme was “The Impact of Sustainability Policies on Corporate Reputation.”

RepMan Forum 2017 also included two special sessions commemorating Victor Ananias, a pioneer of the Wheat movement focused on ecological transformation and organic living, who passed away in 2011.

The forum was chaired by Salim Kadıbeşegil, a founding member of the Advisory Board of the Repman Reputation Research Center. Prof. Dr. Haluk Gürgen, a faculty member at Bahçeşehir University and a member of the RepMan Advisory Board, addressed the issue of managing corporate reputation within the framework of the relationship between culture, values, and sustainability in his opening speech.  You can watch the opening speeches and Prof. Dr. Haluk Gürgen’s speech here.

RepMan Advisory Board member Nuran Aksu shared the summary findings of a study conducted by ZENNA Corporate Brand Research and Consulting on behalf of RepMan Reputation Research Center regarding how sustainability issues in the business world are perceived by society. The Victor Ananias session, moderated by Barış Doğru, editor-in-chief of EKOIQ magazine, comprehensively addressed the relationship between sustainability policies and corporate reputation. Faik Uyanık, Corporate Communications Director of the United Nations Development Programme; Oya Özarslan, President of Transparency International; Tayfun Zaman, Founding General Secretary of TEİD Ethics and Reputation Association and Member of the RepMan Advisory Board; and Güneşin Aydemir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Buğday Association, shared their experiences and observations within their respective fields. As in previous years, the forum required participants to make a donation of any amount to a non-governmental organization of their choice in order to register.
