RepMan Forum 2014
IMG_2630-300x225The RepMan Forum 2014, organized by the RepMan Reputation Research Center, will be held on March 21st in Istanbul at the CVK Bosphorus Hotel halls. The event took place. Toby Webb, founder and CEO of Ethical Corporation and also a member of the Advisory Board of the RepMan Reputation Research Center, participated as a guest speaker at this year’s forum. 136 participants attended the forum this year. Participants included corporate communications managers, representatives from the public relations and marketing world, general managers and CEOs of various companies, representatives of non-governmental organizations, academics, and media members. The speeches and presentations were broadcast live online with the contribution of Patika Yapım. GfK Turkey was the main sponsor of RepMan Forum 2014. The forum was chaired by Salim Kadıbeşegil, founder and Advisory Board Member of the RepMan Reputation Research Center. In the first session of the forum, Tolga Danışman, Board Member of the Turkish Corporate Governance Association; Muhterem İlgüner, Brand Finance Turkey representative; Serra Titiz, founder of Mikado Consulting; and Tayfun Zaman, General Coordinator of the Turkish Ethics and Reputation Association, participated as panelists. In the panel moderated by Salim Kadıbeşegil, who took questions from the audience, the contributions of transparency, accountability, sustainability, and ethics to corporate reputation were discussed.

In the second part of the forum, Toby Webb shared his experiences regarding ethical practices in the business world with the participants. He also mentioned that they conduct an annual ranking of Ethical Companies, noting that while not at the expected level, the sensitivity shown to ethics is increasing day by day. In the final part of the forum, the ranking of Turkey’s top companies in reputation management performance in 2013 was announced. The results and evaluations, presented by Nuran Aksu, a member of the Advisory Board of GfK Turkey Reputation Research Consulting and RepMan Reputation Research Center, concluded with contributions from the audience.

2013 Turkey’s Companies with the Highest Reputation Management

The research was conducted by RepMan Reputation Research Center with the sponsorship of GfK Turkey. The research was carried out in 2013 in 7 geographical regions, 15 cities, and with 16,243 people using face-to-face interviews. 14 sectors were examined in the research. For each sector, the reputations of companies representing at least 70% of the market were measured, and the sector’s reputation was calculated. In 2013, the fast-moving consumer goods and telecommunications sectors were found to have received high scores in reputation management among the 14 sectors.
