Dr. Markus Renner is Co-Owner and Managing Partner of the Swiss-headquartered Branding-Institute CMR AG and Visiting Professor of Stakeholder-guided Brand & Reputation Management at the Henley Business School/University of Reading in England. After his M.A. in Political Science he started his career in 1996 as consultant at the US-headquartered global public relations network Burson-Marsteller.
Markus is also Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the International Brand & Reputation Community (INBREC), an exclusive network of Brand and Reputation Executives for highly respected global corporations such as ABB, Allianz, Bayer, Bosch, Daimler, Diageo, Fresenius, Lloyds Banking Group, McDonald’s, Munich Re, Novartis, Siemens, Shell, Swisscom and UBS, among others. He consults global corporations of multiple industries and non-profit organizations in the field of brand and reputation management and strategic marketing. He regularly speaks for both practitioners and academics at renowned conferences around the globe and has written a number of articles on corporate brand implementation and the management of company reputation. In 2011 Markus accomplished his Ph.D. in Reputation Management at the Department of Business Psychology of Basel University, Switzerland. His book “Generating Trust via Corporate Reputation” was published with WVB-Verlag in 2011.
